Empower Tehama seeks an experienced Receptionist to greet and welcome visitors and clients; receive and route all incoming calls, mail, and other correspondence; track and record services in client database system; and manage the flow of services to ensure prompt, efficient, coordinated and caring delivery of services. This is a fast-paced office that requires focus, multi-tasking and attention to detail.
About the Job: The Receptionist is responsible for managing day-to-day operations and activities to maintain quality assurance and an efficient flow of services. Works closely with staff and Advocates to coordinate crisis calls and walk-ins. Completes all business opening/closing tasks and ensures the waiting room and office space is clean, organized and welcoming for clients and visitors. Documents all services and activities and works with the Hotline Supervisor to monitor documentation of hotline calls and services provided. Daily documentation is a key component of this position.
Must be proficient in Outlook and have working knowledge of WORD and Excel. Must be able to operate a multi-line phone system. Ability to work with a broad range of people and maintain an environment that is conducive to serving high-risk populations and people in crisis. Strong active listening skills, professional phone etiquette, good decision-making, a non-judgmental and accepting attitude, and attention to detail.
