Use expertise in a variety of mechanical fields to troubleshoot, install, replace and repair manufacturing systems in a heavy industrial manufacturing plant. Must be familiar with preventative maintenance, lubrication, machinery maintenance, hydraulic, air, and steam applications, and proficient in welding. Read and understand service and technical manuals. Eligible candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment criminal history check and pre-employment drug screening.
Install machinery according to layout plans and blueprints
General repair and maintenance of sawmill mechanical. Pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Use hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools
Dismantle, assemble and install machinery and equipment such as shafting and conveyors
Cutting and welding
Troubleshoot, repair and lubricate machines and equipment
Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
Read and understand service and technical manuals
Identify opportunities for automation to support continuous process improvement and plant safety initiatives
Ability to work independently, without constant supervision
General maintenance support as needed
Other duties as assigned
Two years’ minimum experience
Ability to work at heights
Ability to work in extreme temperatures (indoors and outdoors)
Ability to read and write in English for purposes of completing/documenting work orders, installations, repair manuals and/or blueprints
Ability to work shift work other than day shift
Salary / Wage $21.01 per hour with full benefits
